Dear Member Friends,
We, from the desk of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyathmika Peetham, wish you all a very “Happy International Yoga Day.”
Human life is sustained by three essential dimensions — the body, mind, and soul. The physical body that carries life must remain healthy, disciplined, and fit, not only to perform daily duties but also to uphold the noble ideals and values we believe in. A healthy body supports a calm mind, and a calm mind becomes a gateway to spiritual awakening.
The great sage Patanjali explained Yoga in eightfold paths, popularly known as Ashtanga Yoga. These eight limbs guide every aspect of human life — physical, mental, moral, and spiritual. Yoga literally means “union,” the union of the individual consciousness with the Universal Consciousness, the Almighty God. Through sincere practice, Yoga brings harmony between body, mind, and spirit, ultimately leading the seeker towards divine realization.
True Yoga is not limited to physical exercises or postures alone. Along with practice, one must cultivate kindness, compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, and a loving heart. The real measure of spiritual practice is reflected in one’s behaviour, attitude, and way of life. A person who is free from anger, hatred, jealousy, and inner or outer violence, and who radiates peace and cheerfulness, truly lives in communion with the inner Self.
In our Peetham, Sath Guru lovingly preaches the practice of “Thrayee Sadhana.” Through this sacred sadhana, the heart chakra gradually expands, and we begin to look upon all humanity as one universal family. Generally, people remain self-oriented and limit their care only to themselves, their family, and a few close relations. But spiritual practices expand human consciousness and bless the seeker with a universal outlook, selfless love, inner peace, and eternal bliss.
Along with spiritual practices, it is equally important to observe Sath Guru carefully, follow his teachings sincerely, and walk on the righteous path shown by him. The love of ordinary people may change according to time, situations, and personal interests, but the love of Sath Guru towards his disciples is eternal and unconditional. He patiently guides, protects, and uplifts the disciple until the final goal of liberation and salvation is attained.
Dear Member Friends, on this auspicious International Yoga Day, let us dedicate ourselves to sincere spiritual practice, noble conduct, selfless service, and universal love. Let us follow the divine guidance of Sath Guru, practise Thrayee Sadhana with devotion, and spread peace, compassion, and harmony in society.
