Newsletter – Jan 2026

Dear Member Friends,

We, from the desk of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyathmika Peetham, wish you all a very happy, peaceful, and prosperous New Year 2026.

In the month of January, we celebrate Bhogi on the 15th, Sankranthi on the 16th, and Kanuma on the 17th. On this auspicious occasion, we extend our warm wishes to you all for a Happy Harvest Festival.

We observe our Maha Sabhalu (Great Congregation Days) on February 9th, 10th, and 11th, which we consider as Spiritual Sankranthi—a Spiritual Harvest Festival. During these sacred days, we learn many profound spiritual truths, receive divine energy according to our capacity, and experience the presence of many great souls from different planes. Therefore, those who are reading this newsletter for the first time, and other well-wishers, are warmly invited to visit our Peetham’s Modern Temple of Humanity in advance to understand our philosophy and sadhana, and to participate in the forthcoming Maha Sabhalu.

Time flies and never stops for anyone. We now stand at the fresh beginning of the New Year 2026. With a renewed mind, we face life with new zeal, motivation, and aspiration to achieve our goals and success. Time governs events, relationships, our position, and even our breath. No one knows when life breathes and when it ceases. When all sciences reach their limits and logic comes to an end, spiritual philosophy begins. Through spirituality, we learn how to live life with positive energy, face hardships, flow with time, and most importantly, understand who we truly are and what the Absolute is.

Sath Guru Hussein Sha Garu used to preach that sadhana can be done anywhere and at any time. Even when surrounded by many people, one should remain normal and never expose one’s sadhana to others. Our Peetham’s Universal Sadhana is very simple. Sath Guru assures every member, at the time of spiritual initiation, that he or she can attain the state of the Guru and achieve salvation within this physical life, provided the sadhana is practiced exactly as taught by Him.

One great advantage of spirituality is constant motivation, irrespective of life’s circumstances. This motivation naturally flows from the Sath Guru. Negative thought patterns such as sorrow and depression do not affect the sadhaka. One remains happy and is guided by the Sath Guru towards the best path in life. Buddhism speaks of the Three RatnasBuddha (the enlightened Teacher), Dharma (the Path), and Sangha (the community of Followers). Similarly, in our esteemed Peetham, we uphold three jewels: Follow the Sath Guru, Practice Dharma, and Do Sadhana.

Sath Guru Mohiuddin Badsha, our eighth Peethadhipathi, used to say with a compassionate smile, “I am the engine, and you are travelling happily in the compartments. Then why carry your luggage—your worldly burdens and sorrows? Leave them aside, be cheerful, and you will reach your destination safely, as I drive you there.” The Guru Parampara is kind and compassionate towards ignorant disciples. In our Peetham, our Gurus consider us as their own family and remain with us in our breath and in our hearts.

We can never repay them, but we can express our gratitude through sadhana and selfless service for the welfare of ourselves and society. Therefore, dear member friends, let us continue the sadhana and prepare well for the forthcoming Great Congregation Days in February.

असतो मा सद्गमय ।                          Lead us from untruth to truth,
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।                     from darkness to light,
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ॥                      and from mortality to immortality

Thanking you,
Yours spiritually,
